Hi there! I’m Caitlin.
A family and newborn photographer in Southern New Hampshire.
I am a mom to two boys, living in beautiful Southern New Hampshire where I grew up. Our family loves roasting marshmallows, exploring the outdoors, and our beloved fur baby, Romeo. I have always loved children and received my Masters in Education so that I could spend time teaching and engaging with kids.
Now, I give back to the community by working at my local public library in addition to running my family photography business.
Photography runs in the family.
My grandfather (affectionately known as “Grampie”) was an artist and photographer and throughout his life captured beautiful photos of nature and our family all over New England. When he passed, I received his vintage camera. This memento is incredibly special to me and I began using it to take photos in order to feel closer to him.
Over the years I honed my skills and once I had my two boys, now ages 8 and 5, I really started focusing on capturing precious memories of my family.
After sending out a few Christmas cards featuring the photos and receiving fantastic feedback, I decided to launch Caitlin Velasquez Photography so that other families could experience the joy of slowing down and really taking in these moments with our little ones.
These days, I’ve transitioned to using a modern Nikon D850 so that I can capture your family in a modern and optimized way. After 10 years of developing my photography skill set, I now offer indoor and outdoor family photo sessions, newborn and baby photography, maternity photography and holiday photoshoots.
My absolute favorite part of being a photographer is when other families send me their Christmas cards.
Every year I create a huge collage on my wall showcasing these memories and it brings me such joy.
As a mom myself whose babies are getting older each day (my oldest is 9 going on 15!), I know just how precious and fleeting these moments are. From each little giggle to each tiny toe, it is such a gift to be able to capture and preserve these memories for you for decades to come.

Hometown:
Litchfield, New Hampshire where I spent my days playing in the woods and late summer nights running around the neighborhood barefoot with friends. I have always loved the mountains and beautiful nature of New Hampshire and feel so lucky to have grown up here.

Thanksgiving! I have 8 aunts and uncles and around 20 cousins so we love getting the big family together every year to celebrate and mark the beginning of the holiday season with our annual gingerbread house content.
Caitlin took stunning pictures of my little one to celebrate her very first birthday!
She also took some super fabulous family photos! Although my little peanut didn’t want to cooperate at first- Caitlin was still able to get some beautiful shots! She took the time to work with my stubborn peanut and gain her trust! We can’t wait to have more pictures taken again soon!
